Wire Nickel Alloys ® 625T-1 (ENiCrMo3T1-1/T1-4) Specification Nickel base rutile flux cored wire of NiCrMo3 / Ni 6225 P type for welding of nickel base alloys with high molybdenum content, e.g. Alloy 625 and Alloy 825, as well as super austenitic stainless steels such as 254 SMO® (1.4547 / UNS S31254). With exceptional mechanical properties and low-temperature ductility, this wire can be used for welding 9Ni-steels for cryogenic applications. Suitable for pressure vessel fabrication in the service temperature range from –320ºF to 1020ºF, otherwise resistant to scaling up to 2010ºF (in Sfree atmosphere). Can also be used for welding of dissimilar joints including low-alloyed "hard to weld" steels. High nickel content prevents C-diffusion at high service temperatures or during post-weld heat treatment of dissimilar steels. The weld metal has a low coefficient of thermal expansion and is resistant to thermal shock. The weld metal is exceptionally resistant to general corrosion in various types of acids and to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-containing environments. Meets the corrosion test requirements per ASTM G48 Methods A, B and E (110ºF). The fast-freezing slag offers excellent weldability and slag control. The wire is optimized to minimize the risk of forming porosity in all positions.

Conclusion Alloy 625 FC is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-iron flux cored filler used for nickel-base alloys which contains chromium-molybdenum or iron-chromium and themselves to steel. Inconel® 625 & 825, alloy 25-6 Mo and overlaying steel as well as joining stainless may be an excellent choice also. This weld metal has good strengths and resists corrosion and oxidation up to 1500 °F. Some of these base metals are found with specifications of ASTM B443, B444, B446 (all listed under UNS 06625), B407, B409, B512, B564 (all listed under UNSN08800)
