14. SPARE PARTS

Nuovo Pignone supply spare parts for all machineries manufactured at their works (reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, centrifugal pumps, steam and gas turbines) apart from their manufacturing dates.

Their technical assistance is granted for the whole machine life.

The Spare Parts Dpt. supplies spares and general overhaul service by highly-qualified staff, for machinery sent back to the works or directly on the jobsite.

Continuous contact between Manufacturer and Customer helps in finding the best solutions in both production and technical updating of machinery, also considering experiences of other similar plants or machines.

This cooperation consists in suggestions as regards the parts to have in stock, the stock management, the interchangeability for plants with similar machines installed, as well as the modifications leading to the newest updating in technology.

Only the original spare parts are guaranteed by the manufacturer because achieved through proper materials and manufacturing procedures.

With the aid of an electronic programming system, the parts lists, orders and drawings are searched and printed sppeding up the process of work orders, although not re-moving the difficulty in procuring raw materials and, any-how, those parts bought out.

It .is thereforeeconomically ,profitable to lock up a certain capital amount for the purchase of a fair nurmber of spares, along with the machine, to face any failures during the initial operation with the minimum down-time.

We point out that in order to avoid any misunder standing, when placing a spare part order, all necessary data (such as: machine type, serial number, job number, description of parts ordered, their denomination, N.P. code and items referred on the section drawing) are shown on every instruction book.

Should the serial number and machine type be no longer available, we suggest to indicate the installation, the service, the startup date and, in case, the name of Nuovo Pignone's customer.
