Adapters - HPM (male) x JICM (Male) Parker Autoclave Engineer’s male-to-male JIC one-piece adapters are available in low, medium, and high-pressure configurations. JIC adapters are machined from cold-worked stainless steel. Other materials are available upon request. Available 15k and 20k psi JIC fittings, defined by the SAE J514 and MIL-DTL-18866 standards, are a type of flare fitting machined with a 37-degree flare seating surface. JIC fitting system has three components that make a tubing assembly: fitting, flare nut, and sleeve. The tube end is flared to 74 degrees included angle and held in between the main body nose and the sleeve nut, which is on top of them, thus resulting in a very effective leak-proof joint, full flow connection in process tubing. The JIC fitting uses its flared seating surface to seal instead of an o-ring that could corrode or the old-tapered threads of NPTF fittings. This means that they can be re-used and, disconnected & reconnected repeatedly with little or no deformation and hold a high-pressure seal. This is very useful in hydraulic applications where equipment is frequently being changed out or on testing equipment. JIC Fitting Features
Description Fittings manufactured according to SAE J514 (ISO 8434-2) standard are widely used in many branches of industry to connect steel pipes with outside diameters from 6 to 38 mm. Fittings, according to SAE J514 can also be used to connect flexible hose assemblies. Widely used in hydraulic and pneumatic drive and control systems as well as in industrial applications.
