Bulkhead Adapter JIC (male) to HP (female)

Autoclave Engineers' bulkhead adapters connect tubing or piping of different sizes and configurations through the panel. Bulkhead adapters are machined from cold-worked stainless steel. Other materials and connections, if required, can be available.

The gland and collar are supplied with the adapter. Maximum pressure rating is based on the lowest rating of any component. Actual working pressure may be determined by tubing pressure rating, if lower.

Description

JIC fittings are made in accordance with SAE J514 standards. JIC fittings are most commonly known as 37-degree flare fittings for its 37 degree flare on the seating surface. They are suitable for general hydraulic systems and industrial equipment applications such as fuel oil, deluge systems, and compressed air.

JIC Fittings include three precision machined components like Body, Sleeve and Nut. The main construction consists of three pieces: the body, sleeve & nut. The tube end is flared to 74 degrees included angle and held in between the main body nose and the sleeve nut, which is on top of them, thus resulting in a very effective leakproof joint and full flow connection in process tubing. Flare fitting design allows for repeated disassembly and re-assembly without needing to replace any components. A wide range of configurations is available such as straight connectors, elbows, union, tees, and crosses, as well as unique special adapters. Standard flare fitting materials include brass, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
