Bifold Pneumatic & Hydraullic Solenoids

The Bifold Fluidpower solenoids are manufactured in the UK based on the highest standards and designed for highly demanding applications in the Oil & Gas, Offshore, Chemical and Refinery applications. They are available for use in various Hazardous Area locations.There are available as a standard in Stainless Steel or Aluminium construction, ¼ NPT or BSPP connections, Auto Reset or Manual Override, 0…10 Bar Operating Pressure in pneumatic philosophy, and up to 690 bar for the hydraulic philosophy, Viton or Flourosilcone Seat material, Ex d Protection Class and 24Vdc to 220Vac (Voltage), with very low consumption (Watt). After many years of working on different projects, we can say that these solenoids are reliable. The long life of solenoids depends mainly on a clean supply, especially on the hydraulic system where the pressure is higher.

Types of solenoid valves

• Direct-acting solenoid valves – Direct acting solenoid valves require no differential pressure to remain in their rest position. They are robust valves that can be used in both a process line for simple isolation or for safety purposes.
• In-direct acting solenoid valves – In-direct acting solenoid valves do require a differential pressure across the inlet and outlet to allow them to remain in their rest position. These valves are best used if pressure levels are within the parameters specified in the specific model’s datasheet and IOM instructions.
• Force-lift solenoid valves – Force-lift valves are utilised in extremely high-pressure applications where neither of the above valves can handle the elevated pressure. This valve houses a larger and more powerful coil to open and close the valve’s orifice.
