Aluminium 7000 series
7000 series aluminium grades contain 0.8-8.2% zinc as the primary alloying element. This series comprises some of the highest-strength aluminium alloys. The 7000 series grades are heat treatable; solution heat treatment followed by ageing can be performed to increase their yield strength. The precipitation of MgZn2 and Mg3Zn3Al2t intermetallic compounds hardens the alloy. The 7000 series grades have high corrosion resistance, which is enhanced by the addition of copper. Most grades in this series are not weldable due to their susceptibility to stress corrosion cracking and hot cracking.

Applications of Aluminum 7039 series 7039 is used for:
La lega di alluminio 7039 è una lega di alluminio contenente principalmente zinco (3,5–4,5%) come elemento di lega.
Applications of Aluminum 7075 series 7039 is used for:
Applications of Aluminum 7475 series 7039 is used for:
Corrosion Resistance Aluminum and more 7039 series Aluminum 7039 provides superior corrosion resistance when compared to other aluminium alloys. This makes it the perfect choice for outdoor applications that are exposed to the elements, such as marine equipment or automotive parts. It can even be used in coastal areas without any fear of corrosion. The alloy also offers excellent protection against stress cracking, making it suitable for use in highly corrosive environments. Aluminium 7039 is an ideal material for a variety of applications due to its excellent corrosion resistance combined with good heat resistance and machinability characteristics, making it easy to work with while still providing superior results every time you use it! Whether you’re looking for materials for outdoor structures or high-temperature equipment, aluminium 7039 should be your go-to choice!
Corrosion Resistance Aluminum and more 7075 series Alloy 7075 has moderate corrosion resistance. The overaged -T73 and -T7351 tempers offers good stress-corrosion cracking resistance as compared to the -T6 and -T651 tempers. (Caution: direct contact by dissimilar metals can cause galvanic corrosion.) Offering superior stress corrosion resistance, 7075 provides very high yield and tensile strengths which is dictated by the particular chosen temper. Aluminium 7075 T6 Plates are used in heat exchangers, condensers, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, seawater equipment, etc. These plates are appreciated for their features like high tensile strength, rugged construction, holding high temperature, stress corrosion cracking resistance, etc.
Corrosion Resistance Aluminum and more 7475 series This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance thanks to its high chromium content (3 percent). This makes it ideal for marine and coastal applications where saltwater exposure can cause corrosion issues. This alloy also has good weldability, making it suitable for welding operations without additional protection or pre-treatment. Aluminium 7475 offers good heat resistance compared to other aluminium alloys with similar levels of strength. It can withstand temperatures up to 600°F (316°C) before losing its strength or becoming brittle. This makes it a great choice for automotive parts that are exposed to high temperatures due to engine exhaust or other factors.
